Quality goes beyond delivering the right material. It also means being able to demonstrate where the material comes from, that it meets the specified requirements, and that it remains traceable throughout the entire process.
At Arcus, we handle the upgrading of piping systems for leading certification bodies such as Lloyd’s Register, Bureau Veritas, DNV, and RINA. Behind this process lie various checks, inspections, and tests. We will take you behind the scenes.
It starts with the certificate
Before the material is inspected, we carefully check the associated certificates. We verify, among other things, whether they originate from the correct manufacturers. The materials are then collected and prepared for inspection.
Next, the NOBO inspector comes to Arcus for the required inspection. During this inspection, the quality and identity of the material are verified. The material is also officially stamped, an important step in the traceability process. This ensures the material remains recognizable and traceable throughout the entire process.
From inspection to laboratory
After the initial inspection, the material goes to the laboratory for the necessary research and testing. Here, it is meticulously checked to ensure it meets the requirements of the relevant certification body, such as Lloyd’s Register, Bureau Veritas, DNV, or RINA.
Only when the required tests are completed and the results are positive can the material proceed to the final step.
The final stamp
The material returns to our warehouse, where it receives the final NOBO stamp. This completes the entire process, and it is demonstrably clear that the material meets the specified requirements and is fully traceable.
For our customers, this primarily means certainty. The process is carefully checked and documented before the material leaves Arcus and gets delivered to our customers.
