Your job as Group Financial Controller

As Group Financial Controller, you play a key role in safeguarding the financial integrity and governance of Arcus Group. You are responsible for delivering reliable financial information, strengthening financial processes and supporting management with high-quality financial reporting and analysis.

Working closely with the CFO, local finance teams and external stakeholders, you ensure consistent financial reporting across our international operations. You combine strong technical accounting knowledge with a hands-on mentality and continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, controls and reporting quality.

You will join an ambitious and entrepreneurial international organization where finance is an important business partner, supporting strategic decision-making and sustainable growth.

What you will be doing

  • Prepare and coordinate the Group reporting cycle, including monthly actual reporting and the annual Strategic Plan, Budget and Forecast processes.

  • Consolidate the financial results of our international subsidiaries and ensure timely, accurate and reliable Group reporting.

  • Prepare management reports and financial analyses for the Executive Committee (monthly) and the Shareholders and Board (quarterly).

  • Coordinate the preparation of the annual statutory and consolidated financial statements of Arcus Group and act as a key contact for external auditors.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies and internal controls. Assess opportunities to further professionalize the Group reporting framework, including a potential future transition from Dutch GAAP to IFRS.

  • Lead an participate in finance transformation projects, including ERP implementation, process harmonization and reporting automation.

  • Support treasury, tax and compliance-related activities where required.

  • Collaborate with finance colleagues across different countries to strengthen knowledge sharing and standardization.

  • Act as a trusted business partner for both Group Management and local finance teams.

  • Act as deputy to the CFO and support the CFO in strategic finance initiatives and stakeholder management

What you bring

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Economics or a related field.

  • Approximately 5–10 years of relevant experience in financial control, external audit or corporate finance within an international environment.

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation and accounting principles (Dutch GAAP and IFRS knowledge is an advantage).

  • Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • A proactive, hands-on mindset and the ability to improve and simplify financial processes.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across different levels of the organization.

  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics is a pre) and advanced Excel skills.

  • Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is considered a plus.

  • Experience in an international multi-entity organization is strongly preferred.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken (knowledge of Dutch, German and/or French is an advantage).

Location

Based in Baar, Switzerland with approximately 10% international travel.
